Small Stolen Moments
During Covid, I began a series of small paintings that explored moments in my life.
I was already making a series of long paintings on paper exploring a future extinction event.
The two projects became inextricably linked and form the basis of a body of work entitled Markers of Time.
Single moments of an individual life can feel important. However when compared with the big geological changes occurring in the world, my perspective shifts and the fleeting nature of a single human life becomes clear.
